Yerry Mina is reportedly undergoing a medical in Spain to save time ahead of his move to Everton. The Colombian centre-back was a reported target of many teams this summer but Everton appear to have won the race, however, a fee is yet to be agreed according to Sky Sports sources.
The 23-year-old was a standout performer at the World Cup scoring three goals in three matches. The Colombian, who is currently at Barcelona, is said to be disappointed with his lack of game time and keen on a Premier League move. Everton have already emerged as a front-runner in the race with bids around the region of £30 million. Reports suggest that if this deal gets done, which looks likely, the fee will be around £28-£32 million.
Everton have sent officials to Barcelona to discuss the final details of the transfer and are hoping to have the deal agreed by the deadline. It’s reported that Mina is currently undergoing his medical in Spain with personal terms agreed.
Barcelona and Everton have a good relationship with Lucas Digne already making the same move. The deal should comfortably be agreed and Marco Silva is determined to add to his backline following the departures of Williams and Funes Mori.
Manchester United appear to have missed out on another centre-back and will continue to search for one until the 5 PM deadline.
