(As Kylian Mbappe is only on loan to PSG and his transfer should be completed this summer, I would like to mention that he has been overlooked as there are confusing circumstances around his transfer. )

Having said that all the top teams will have their eye on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, the 23 year old Serbian central midfielder who has burst onto the scene this season at Lazio. He has widely contributed to the team, racking up 11 goals and 7 assists this season whilst also achieving a great defensive output, winning 69% of his tackles this season, coming in just below Sergio Ramos’ 73%. He also wins 55 % of his aerial duels, matching that of Manchester City’s defensive rock Nicolas Otamendi. When he’s presented with a chance to shoot he doesn’t disappoint, achieving a shot accuracy of 54%. He also possesses a lethal long range strike, having scored 5 of his 11 goals from outside the box.
His huge frame has helped him regain possession and burst forward to link up with Ciro Immobile, Luis Alberto and others which has propelled Lazio into 3rd place at the time of writing.

He slots into the Lazio line-up as a Left-Sided centre-midfielder but also is deployed on the right. He is right footed but also can function very well on his left foot, as well as using a skilful element of his game which helps him glide over the pitch, a remarkable feat for someone who’s 6 foot 3 inches.

His ideal role would be as a Box-To-Box midfielder, coming back on defence before bursting forward at speed after a turnover in possession. All of the Premier League’s top 6 would gladly accept his services if a fee was agreed, even Manchester City would be prepared to splash out on a taller, more defensive player to partner the phenomenal Kevin De Bruyne. As Lazio would require a huge fee for his departure, his most likely destination is PSG, who will be looking to bolster their midfield in order to achieve greater champions league success in the following years. He’s certainly one to look out for at this summers World Cup.
