West Ham target Lucas Perez

West Ham want Arsenal’s Lucas Perez according to Sky Sports. He is a versatile player who can play up front as well as out wide. and it is believed West Ham would prefer to go for Perez as he would be cheaper than other targets. West Ham have already spent £95 million this summer.

Sky Sports reported over the weekend that West Ham’s pursuit of Yacine Brahimi from Porto was over after the player and club could not agree on personal terms after a fee between the two clubs had been agreed. West Ham have now quickly changed targets to the Arsenal man.

Perez has found it tough at Arsenal never being able to have a consistent run in the first team. He arrived from Deportivo in the summer of 2016 but has only made 11 Premier League appearances and scoring one goal.

He went out on loan to Deportivo last season and scored eight goals in 35 appearances for the Spanish side. It was thought that the arrival of new Head Coach Unai Emery would result in more playing time for the forgotten man at the Emirates as he tired to sign the front man for PSG last summer. However, Perez has been used sparingly in pre-seaosn for Arsenal and did not travel to either Dublin or Sweden for Arsenal’s final two warm up games for the Premier League season.

It is believed that a fee would be in the region of £4 million which would be coup considering the fee’s we have seen clubs pay for the players this summer.
