West Ham have confirmed the singing of Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina on Deadline Day. The player has passed his medical and singed a two-year contract according to Sky Sports.
This will be the Colombian’s second stint in the Premier League after he spent two seasons at Aston Villa between 2014 and 2016 and left after the club were relegated to the Championship.
Sanchez has a lot of experience at international level having played 88 times for Columbia he comes in after West Ham sold Kouyate to Crystal Palace and needed to bolster their defensive midfield options and the 32 year old has plenty of that.
He made 48 appearances in the Premier League for Aston Villa before his departure to Fiorentina. He spent 18 months there before joining Espanyol on loan helping them to avoid relegation from La Liga.
