Fulham are closing in on a deal to bring Luciano Vietto to Craven Cottage from Atletico Madrid on a season long loan according to Sky Sports. It’s one of two deals that the club are trying to push through in the remaining time before the deadline.
The 24-year old was loaned out to Valencia last season and has been told he is surplus to requirements in Madrid and will not be involved in the first team picture this season. Atletico Madrid singed him from Villarreal after an impressive 2014/15 campaign where he scored 18 goals in 45 appearances. However, he has been unable to repeat that success during his time with Atletico Madrid.
He featured in pre-season, so he is fit and will be ready if called upon early in the campaign after scoring twice during this preseason with Atletico Madrid. Fulham are keen to have strength in depth in their squad as they return to the Premier League and have made seven singings so far.
