With Jack Wilshere potentially leaving the Gunners when his contract runs out, Unai Emery is set to swoop for French International Corentin Tolisso and is willing to pay up to £60 million for the midfielder, as reported by the Express

Tolisso, 23, who is gearing up for his first competitive tournament with France has enjoyed a positive first season in the Bundesliga, with 10 goals and seven more assists from midfield in 40 appearances, 14 of which have been from the bench.

The versatile Frenchman can play in a deep lying role in midfield, while also being able to play behind the striker and out on the right side of midfield.

With the uncertain futures of a number of the Gunners stars, Tolisso would bring Emery heaps of talent and skill which would no doubt excite the Emirates crowd.

The former Ligue 1 player signed for Bayern in the summer of 2017 for £36.5 million, signing a contract which runs out in 2022, and it has been claimed that Bayern are not wanting to sell Tolisso for any price.

Tolisso could be tempted for the move if limited playing time arises at Bayern, and also he would be joining friend and former Lyon teammate Alexandre Lacazette, with some fans believing the deal could happen.

Umai Emery has obviously targeted midfield as an area to improve, with England star Jack Wilshere seemingly letting his contract run down in the summer to find a new challenge, while not yet tieing down fan favourite Aaron Ramsey who is entering the final 12 months of his contract.
