Another week means another week full of rumours and this could wrap up a lot of speculations that I talked about in my previous article.
Starting in the Premier League, James Rodriguez went to the UK to secure a “British Visa” in order to enter England. This is a huge step towards big clubs who he has been linked to since the summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham. This shouldn’t be that big of a blow to Real Madrid, considering he hasn’t contributed too much to Los Blancos in the past 3 months or so. Money wise, it depends on how much he could potentially be sold for. Arsenal is also a target if they do not acquire Julian Draxler.
Next up in the Bundesliga, where Arturo Vidal has been linked to a €50M move to Chelsea. This is a potential investment for upcoming midfielders, including N’golo Kante and Oscar. Oscar has been running around with rumours of leaving the club to go explore the Chinese Super League.
Speaking of which, Carlos Tevez has broken all barriers and has moved to a club in the Chinese Super League. The numbers are astonishing, making £1 per second, £60 a minute, and £615,000 per week.
Julian Draxler has reportedly agreed with PSG for a fee of over £30M. This could be a replacement for loaned Jese Rodriguez, who will be going back to Los Blancos for the 2017-2018 season.
Hugo Lloris has signed a 5 year contract with Tottenham Hotspur, keeping him at the club until 2022. This means that Spurs will no longer need Michel Vorm unless Lloris is injured. I think we could really use the money on this one, possibly buying a viable attacker to play two strikers.
Manchester United are in talks with Frenchman Antoine Griezmann. These talks are being held as I write this with an offer of £60M on the table. I don’t understand why Man Utd continues to buy unnecessary attackers. They bought Ibrahimovic as a free agent, then Pogba for a little too much money, and Matteo Darmian’s contract is about to expire. They need to get their head out of the gutter and start thinking a little more.
And last but not least, the man, the myth, the legend, Joey Barton is making a return to the Premier League, signing on a free transfer with Burnley. I can’t wait to see what happens with this one, it should be exciting.
