Earlier on in the summer, the transfer window closed, and a few interesting deals were made. So today I’m going to give you my thoughts on some of the transfers that happened.
First, lets talk about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, otherwise known as the boyfriend of Little Mix star, Perrie Edwards. Chamberlain moved from Arsenal to Liverpool, which sparked some interesting opinions on Twitter, and in the footballing world in general. I feel as though Alex will have a positive impact on Liverpool, and will become a fan-favourite in no time.
Romelu Lukaku. Do I even need to say any more? Lukaku moved from Everton to Manchester United and made great first impressions by scoring his debut goals in pre-season with United. I feel he has many more goals to come, and just like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, will become a favourite of Manchester United fans across the country.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m an avid fan of Scunthorpe United (I bet you’re sick of me saying that, aren’t you?). During the transfer window, we brought in Rory McArdle from Bradford City. Our manager, Graham Alexander, decided to give him the role of team captain and personally, I think it was the right decision. McArdle has said he “wants to help Scunthorpe gain promotion”. When I’m writing this, we’ve only been beaten once in all our league games, so hopefully that will continue.
Finally, Joe Hart, who *recently* completed his move from Manchester City to West Ham. And once again, it sparked some interesting opinions on twitter. Manchester City fans have divided opinions, and so do West Ham supporters. Personally, I feel that Hart will impact West Ham and their performance positively, but, as with all these signings, we’ll have to wait and see until later on in the season to see what impact they really did have on their new club.
Today’s post was slightly shorter than usual but I still hope you all enjoyed it! Remember to leave your opinions on any of these signings (or any others that weren’t mentioned) below OR tweet me @jadesufc_.
