Another Premier League season is upon us with the welcome joy of fans back watching top flight football. So what better way to preview the new season with two All Out Football podcasts. A top ten players to watch out for plus a full 20 team episode to preview the new season.
It’s absolutely clear that only four teams are in with a shout of winning the title come May – Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. Whether that is the order of the top four come 38 matches played is another question.
Romelu Lukaku is back at Chelsea, Jack Grealish signing for a £100m British record at Manchester City and the big question about Harry Kane are three players that are making headlines before the season has even begun. If Kane signs for City, then is that it? Hand the title to City already?
Elsewhere there is no way that Tottenham and Arsenal are worthy of the ‘big six’ status, both their respective seasons look set to be sour. On the back of the Super League, it’s worthy to say that Leicester are the club who deserve every right to finish higher than both North London outfits, you can even include West Ham and Leeds in that conversation too.
For the relegation battle, a first season back in the big time since 1947 for Brentford, fellow promoted sides Watford are back and after experiencing relegation before, are Daniel Farke’s Norwich the best equipped to stay clear of the bottom three?
Is Burnley’s time in the Premier League coming to an end? And Newcastle. Steve Bruce worked incredibly hard to lead the club to a safe mid-table finish coupled with injuries and Covid-related absences. Higher than 12th might be pushing it but I cannot see them struggling this season compared to others.
Lots of discussion, opinion and analysis in both these episodes. Enjoy!
