The FA Cup Fourth Round, and When Does It Take Place?

The FA Cup Fourth Round is just around the corner, but first there are some replays for teams that just couldn’t beat their opponents.

On Tuesday night:

Leicester City v Fleetwood Town
Mansfield Town v Cardiff City
Sheffield Wednesday v Carlisle United
West Ham v Shrewsbury Town
Reading v Stevenage

And on Wednesday evening:

Chelsea v Norwich City
Swansea City v Wolves
Wigan Athletic v Bournemouth

 

Some big Premier League  teams such as; Leicester City, West Ham, Chelsea and Bournemouth could not shut out their opposition – Which, on paper, was in their favour. But for the teams that edged against their opponents in the 3rd round, sit back, relax and wait until the weekend of January 26th – 29th.

A standout fixture from the fourth round draw, and a cracking one for Yeovil, was that Yeovil host Manchester United at Huish Park on the 26th January.

The reward for Nottingham Forest for knocking out holders Arsenal 4-2 at the City Ground, was an away fixture to Hull City in the fourth round, the fellow Championship sides clash on January 27th at 16:00. New manager Aitor Karanka’s first FA Cup action as the reds boss.

 

So the games of the 4th round will be played on the weekend of 26th-29th January 2018 – Make sure you mark your calendars for the rest of the fourth round ties:
