The Norwegian was signed initially on loan until January where his transfer will be made permanent for £4.5m. Markus is an attacking midfielder with the technical qualities you want, great vision, dribbling, shooting and passing. For an attacking midfielder he scores many goals too, scoring 12 in last years Eredivisie. Hull needed more options and this signing could be an ideal player for them. If he is able to adapt to the league quickly he could be a big part of how well Hull do this year. Aged 24, it seems like a very smart signing from Hull.
Islam Slimani (Leicester)
Leicester signed a striker that scored more league goals than Higuain and Aubameyang last season. Slimani will hit the ground running as soon as he adapts to the way that Leicester play. Him and Vardy will be a partnership that every defender would rather not play against. Both excellent finishers and hard working strikers who press high for the ball. Slimani is a tall, physical striker who wants to battle to win the game for the team. A big game player too, scoring 6 goals versus the likes of Porto in 6 games. Slimani could be very important in Leicester's battle to reach the top 4 this year.
Joel Matip (Liverpool)
Joel Matip is an excellent signing by Jurgen Klopp. The centre back is young, hungry, physical, quick and came on a free. At 6ft 5in he is not exactly small either, giving hopefully Liverpool some help in dealing with aerial threats from other teams whilst being an aerial threat himself. Liverpool fans will be hoping he steps up into the role that as they've been missing a world class player, and that he can match the potential that is widely recognised of him, Matip will be Liverpool's number 1 centre back and much of the season depends on keeping clean sheets so he will have a big task on his hand to ensure Liverpool go back to the heights they once embraced.
