For the first time in 10 years, Rangers have won the Scottish Premiership after being constantly being behind rivals Celtic. Steven Gerrard’s side have claimed the champions of Scotland title after beating St Mirren 3-0 with Kent, Morelos and Hagi scoring the goals that earned them the chance to lift the biggest trophy in Scotland up in the air.
Devoted and excited Rangers fans went as far to break social distancing and lockdown restrictions in order to celebrate this historic moment in Scottish football history. For the first time in a long while, Rangers have bested Celtic who continuously won the league throughout the past seasons.
Rangers also have a chance to go invincible if they manage to beat their rivals on the 21st of March. Will Gerrard’s side manage to rub the salt in the wounds of Celtic fans with an away in at the green half of Glasgow?
It’s also worth noting that Liverpool fans allegedly want their former captain to come back to the Merseyside team to manage the club. As of the time of writing this article, Liverpool find themselves in 8th place less than one year after their first Premier League trophy win. Gerrard has kindly refused the offer for now but is not ruling out the future.
Let’s see how this all plays out.
