Randell Williams could be leaving City after having a 400k bid from Peterborough which has angered City fans after the club turned down bids from unnamed Championship clubs as well as having bids from Hull and Cardiff rejected. Its no secret the wide man has been key for Exeter last season contributing 5 goals and 15 assists.

Should he choose to make the switch to London Road the grecians will profit 200k from the sale with Watford getting the other half. The winger had joined City in the January transfer window 2 seasons ago after cancelling his loan move with Wycombe to seal the move.

However, some of the grecians faithful are split on the potential exit. With some believing it won’t be to much of a loss with the likes of josh key Joel Randell and Matt Jay capable of filling the role whereas some fans feel should he depart a replacement is required and with the recent 4.2 milon plus windfall of former city star Ollie Watkins I wouldn’t put far out of Matt Taylor’s mind however its up to him whether he stays or leaves) Randell Williams).

The 24 year old signed for Aston villa on a 5 year deal for a club record fee of 28 million (Ollie Watkins
Since his move, Williams has made 47 appearances for City and has become a fan favourite with his trademark celebration and willingness to run

Posh will have a lot to look forward to should they sign the 23 year old
Lastly, my final thoughts are that Randell deserves his move but I’m not happy how the club has handled it we all know that this was going to happen eventually and it will be interesting to see how Taylor reacts should he depart. Peterborough have a hell of a player on their hands. However, there are aspects of his game he needs to improve such as his finishing because at times last season he looked scared to take a shot on despite having plenty of time but does have goals in his game. Should he depart, he goes with my best wishes but we always knew he was special and moving on from city would surely improve his game further.
