Not the most exciting weekend of Premier League football, but nonetheless I still had a hard job on my hands to pick a team of the week.

Goalkeeper? As I write this section i'm still trying to decide who to pick for a goalkeeper... Cech or Valdes? Both had lots to do all game, making lots of vital saves. I think I'm going to go with Valdes after watching the game highlights and seeing his saves again. Brilliant performance.

Defenders? This week see's another back 3 for me in Gary Cahill, James Milner and Christian Fuchs. These 3 for me had great games for there clubs, Fuchs grabbing his first goal for Leicester too, which if you haven't seen it, is a belter! Milner fully demonstrated he still is a very attacking player which helped Liverpool to a comfortable win over West Brom. And Cahill adapted to a new formation under Antonio Conte very well and he really impressed me in the Chelsea side.

Midfielders? I've picked Roberto Firmino, Adama Traorè, Philippe Coutinho and Xherdan Shaqiri. All three had great games but I'm going to single out Shaqiri who I don't think gets enough praise, he's been an outstanding player for years and a personal favourite of mine. He knocked in 2 stunners on Saturday for Stoke and inspired them to a win. If he stays in this form Stoke will be flying. As for Traorè he was phenomenal for Middlesbrough, he reminded me of Kante of last season, key for Boro. And Firmino, what a player, he's always working hard in and out of possession, consistent displays of attacking play from the Brazilian. In a centre attacking midfield role I've got Coutinho, who was as always outstanding.  A superb goal and created lots of chances. He's looking very sharp this season under Klopp.

Strikers? I've got a front three made up of Sadio Mane, Nathan Redmond and Eden Hazard. All three scoring this weekend. Hazard I thought was brilliant and back to his best, giving defenders nightmares all game. Redmond also played a key role for Southampton sniffing out errors in the Manchester City defence and pouncing on John Stones's back pass. Mane looked a threat all game for Liverpool and created lots of chances in the box which unfortunately the reds couldn't capitalise on.

What do you think? Who would you have picked? Let us know in the comments below!
