The Next MK Dons Manager?

Written by Ross Duffy

Steve Cotterill? Steven Gerrard? Frank Lampard?

MK Dons are facing an uphill task of appointing a new man of the club after the Karl Robinson tenure, of 6 years in charge of the club came to an end. There are 3 candidates which are leading the bookies with Frank Lampard marginally ahead with 11/10, narrowly followed by the former Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill with 7/4 odds.

Pete Winkleman is looking for a candidate who can succeed just like the former MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, and hopefully in the coming years get promotion and be a financially supported club who are settled in the Championship. On the other hand, fans of MK Dons are worrying about getting out of the sticky patch of results which have led them being in the relegation zone with 17 points, two points adrift from Oxford United. Frustration is building because about a week ago Pete Winkleman announced he’s looking at appointing a manager by the end of November. With key fixtures against relagation strugglers Coventry (away) and Chesterfield at home these next coming weeks could determine where are expectations and predictions will lie in the fans eyes.

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are interesting candidates and bring a lot of debate along with them, without managerial experience is it what MK Dons need? Will they stay for longer than the fans expected? Will they succeed?Steve Cotterill, who lead Bristol City to do the double in the season of 2014/15 season winning the JPT and the league one title with 90+ points, is an ideal candidate and is exactly what MK Dons need to succeed like Karl Robinson.

It’s Bristol Rovers away for the caretaker boss Richie Barker, if we can get 3 points against Bristol Rovers it will rejuvenate our fans and players on the pitch to have abit of momentum to climp up the league one table #COYD
