New Arsenal manager Unai Emery looks set to complete his transfer business early as Arsenal look set to spend in a region of £50m.

With Arsenal having already signed Stephan Linchtsteiner on a free transfer this summer, the Gunners have been heavily linked with players Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Sokratic Papastathopoulos and it looks likely that deals for these players could go ahead with Arsenal manager set to rebuild an Arsenal team who had a disappointing campaign last season.

Any potential deals for all these names will take Arsenal’s spending to the £50m transfer budget that has been given to Unai Emery, as reported by the Evening Standard. With German goalkeeper Leno valued at around £20m, Sokratic Papastathopoulos who will cost at around £16m as well as the possible addition of Sampdoria’s Torreira, whose current buy-out clause is believed to be around £25m it’s possible that Arsenal could all but have their business done early. However, it’s suggested that Arsenal have offered Sampdoria £30m if they are able to pay in instalments which will enable them to spend the rest of their transfer budget on further signings.

A recent name to have been seriously linked to the Gunners is Portuguese attacker Gelson Martins, a player who have reportedly requested to have his contract terminated by Sporting Lisbon because of current circumstances at the club which has led to five other Sporting players also requesting to leave on a free transfer. Martins could end up being some coup for the Gunners with with him possibly arriving on a free transfer.
