Middlesbrough have made an increased offer to QPR for midfielder Luke Freeman according to Sky Sources.

Blackburn saw a bid of £4 million turned down by QPR earlier this morning which has led to this increased offer from the Teeside club. There has also been interest from Sheffield United but it is Tony Pulis's side who have got their bid in first.

Middlesbrough have been busy so far on deadline day as expected after Tony Pulls said his side were 'five or six short' of a promotion winning side after their 2-2 draw with Millwall on the opening day of the season. They have also been linked with Everton's Yannick Bolasie and Millwall's Jed Wallace.

Freeman who is 26 years old moved to QPR from Bristol City 18 months ago for a fee of £350,000 and has scored 7 goals in 61 appearances for the Hoops.
