CSKA Moscow vs Spurs Preview

Written by Tyler Rose

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that big players will miss tomorrow’s Champions League clash away to CSKA Moscow. Players missing the game are: Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele. The Argentine hopes that Rose, Sissoko, Dier and Dembele will all be fit for Sunday’s top of the table clash against Manchester City at the Lane. This just shows that Pochettino doesn’t want to risk the players, especially the ‘important’ ones. In my opinion, It’ll give a chance for youngster Harry Winks to get some Champions League football after an impressive performance against Gillingham.

Striker Harry Kane suffered a serious ankle injury in the 1-0 win against Sunday in the Barclays Premier League, Mauricio doesn’t want to put a time-frame on the injury. Fans are praying he’ll be back for the North London Derby on Sunday 6th November.

I believe Spurs will dominate the game, they may lose possession when they shouldn’t but will create lots of chances to turn their goal difference to a positive. Hopefully, Janssen will get his first Totteham goal from open play and Spurs fans, like myself will believe that the Dutchman will do the job while Harry Kane is out injured.

My predicted XI:

Lloris (C)

Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies

Alli, Wanyama

Lamela, Eriksen, Son

I’m going for a comfortable 3-1 win for the Lilywhites, the goalscorers: Janssen, Son and Eriksen.
