The 23-year-old’s break through season saw him becoming one of Seria A’s top midfielders in terms of goal scored in which he notched 12 goals, earning himself a place in Serbia’s World Cup squad in Russia.

His performances for Lazio haven’t gone unnoticed with the Red Devils believed to be long term admires of the midfielder.

However, the current asking price for the Lazio player remains a stumbling block for the Premier League side with the Italian club looking for a fee in the region of £120m.

It’s now being reported that Barcelona have joined the race for the talented playmaker with the Spanish giants offering a player plus cash deal which could see midfielder Rafinha go in the other direction, a deal which could tempt Lazio to allow their prized asset to leave.
