Luton Town are currently placed fifth in league two, But do The Hatters have what it takes to go up.
After a disappointing campaign last season finishing eleventh, Luton Town have impressed this term and are right in the mix for promotion. The Hatters currently sit fifth in the league and are only two points behind third place Carlisle, with a game in hand. But will the Bedfordshire club find a way to go up, lets take a look into there chances.
Luton are currently on a six game unbeaten run in the league, most recently coming out 4-0 victors away at Yeovil Town. A strong performance with two goals coming from for stand out striker Danny Hylton who has already netted twenty two times. The game at Yeovil showed up Luton’s strengths especially at the back with another clean sheet. The Hatters have the joint best defence record in the league, only conceding 31 goals in 34 games.
The next three games may prove a difficult test though. Firstly playoff hopefuls Stevenage travel to Kenilworth road on Saturday, A club in good form, wining all three of there last three games. Next Luton make the long trip to Carlisle for a crucial mid week fixture which could be described as a promotion six pointer. Then the following Saturday The Hatters host seventh place Exeter, who themselves will be looking to keep in a playoff position.
