Jeff Reine-Adelaide has insisted that he has no regrets over his recent departure from Arsenal to Ligue 1 side, Angers on a permanent deal. The French midfielder showed great promise for the future after signing in 2015 but since struggled for any competitive game time with Arsenal and felt a move was necessary, according to the Evening Standard.

The French midfielder spent the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan with Angers from Arsenal but also struggled for game time. Nevertheless, the 20-year-old midfielder is confident that this is the right move for him and made it permanent last week. Reine-Adelaide will hope to improve on the mere eight competitive appearances that he made for Arsenal in his time at the London club and despite a managerial change, the Frenchman has no regrets over his move.
His frustration with his lack of game time was clear, “It was hard for me to stay three years there, knowing that I was almost never playing and that I only participated in training,” said Reine-Adelaide. “It was not easy to leave Arsenal but the loan I made here last season from February to May weighed heavily.”

After being impressed by what the club has to offer, the youngster will now hope to kick on with his career and hopefully prove to Arsenal what they were missing. Arsenal is set to continue their offloading with Jenkinson and Akpom both expected to leave in the coming days.
