If you believe the media this season Marcelo Bielsa is the greatest coach of all time who transforms turd to terrific, Man Utd had a chance in signing Sancho and Jack Grealish is England's missing link!

No doubt Jack has edged in front of long term nemesis Maddison for the lack of pace creative role within the national team set up but Jack faces a lot of hurdles before he convinces the masses.

A MOM display is a great moment for any footballer of any level but Jacks foes on Thursday night v Wales were a mixture of EFL and lower tier Premier League players, year on year his assist and goal scoring rates have risen and he has now set a level where he is a quantified Premier League standout performer (ask Liverpool). To be taken more seriously Jack needs to be taking his level of performance to the ultimate stage, Champions League/Europa League.

Despite a great start to the season, Villa are not going to make Europe so he will face a dilemma regarding if he stays or leaves. He loves Aston Villa its plain to see but the best players perform in Europe every season and Southgate will always view lads at the top clubs higher than Grealish for that reason. Now he has put in a few shifts with the 3 lions shirt on he may gain a squad place for Euro 2021, then the best he can hope for to be recognised as a elite player is a David Platt Italia 90 moment.

If he doesn't leave Villa he will fall under the Matt Le Tissier bracket of footballer, loyal, talented, team leader but never played at the top! His other issue is he cannot keep out of trouble despite being captain of Villa. Even during lockdown he attended a party plus allegedly drunk drove after it finished. Not many lads can be role models like Rashford but at times as hard working spectators we ask our pro footballers to live a honest clean living life, be role models for the kids, its not much to ask? He may not receive many cards on the pitch but off field antics will always hover over his playing career especially while he is a big fish in a small pond.

With all the pace and power up front England could do with a creative enigma like Jack to come to the fore and be a regular within the squad, challenging for a starting spot. As when we play teams in knock out games who only want to counter, a man with a key to the goal like KDB is what you want, Jack Grealish could be that man.
