According to reports from Italy, Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to Italian club Inter Milan which could see his rivalry with now Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo resurrected.
Cristiano Ronaldo recently joined the Seria A champions from Champions League holders Real Madrid in a deal worth a reporting £88m (Sky Sources). Reports suggest that the Portuguese player maker’s relationship broke down with Florentino Perez in a dispute over wage demands that the club refused to agree to.
With Ronaldo look looking to challenge himself in another competitive league, along with already proving himself in La Liga and the Premier League, it’s now suggested that Messi could be tempted to do the same in fear that Ronaldo will outshine him.
Messi has always been a one club man, having only ever represented Barcelona and although Messi will go down as a legend of the game, could Messi’s legacy be disputed once the Argentine retired?
Will Lionel Messi look to follow Cristiano Ronaldo to Italy? If Messi stays at Barcelona will it damage his career once the veteran retires? If Ronaldo accomplishes similar things in Seria A, similar what he’s done in both Spain and England, then does he go down as the best player of all time?
