Hull City travel to Carrow Road this Saturday to face Norwich City. Kick-off is at 15:00 and The Tigers will be hoping to capitalise on their 6-1 hammering of Birmingham City before the international break.
Hull have already confirmed that left-back Stephen Kingsley (Groin), forward Frazier Campbell (Knee) and central-midfielder Evandro (Quad) will be unavailable for the clash. The club have said Kingsley could face up to four weeks out after having surgery last Wednesday. Campbell picked up a knee problem against Birmingham and has this morning been ruled out. Evandro has recovered from a hamstring problem, but now has picked up a quad muscle problem.
The club also have some long-term injuries in the squad, both forwards Will Keane (Knee) and Abel Hernandez (Achilles). Keane be out for another month or so, whilst Hernandez will be sidelined until Spring.
With this being said, I predict Hull’s starting XI tomorrow against The Canaries.
My Starting XI (4-2-3-1)
Goalkeeper: Allan McGregor – I fully expect the Scotsman to maintain his position between the sticks.
Right-Back: Ola Aina – The Nigerian started against Birmingham, and I fully expect him to remain in the side.
Centre-Back: Michael Dawson – The veteran defender will remain in the back-line, captaining the side.
Centre-Back: Michael Hector – The Jamaican international will again feature alongside Dawson, with their partnership seeming the be Slutsky’s favoured partnership.
Left-Back: Max Clark – With Kingsley ruled out, Clark will keep his place at left-back for the foreseeable future.
Centre-Midfield: Seb Larsson – The experienced midfielder will remain in the centre of midfield, he’ll be hoping to add to his one goal so far this season.
Centre-Midfield: David Meyler – Meyler’s spirits will be high after Ireland successfully qualified for next year’s World Cup. The corn-born midfielder will be looking to add another goal to his tally of three so far this season.
Right-Midfield: Jarrod Bowen – Probably one of the first names on the team-sheet, the 20-year-old will be looking to maintain his exceptional start to season with another good performance.
Attaching-Midfield: Markus Henriksen – The Norwegian opened the scoring for his national side against San Marino whilst on International break, he will be looking to bring this momentum to the table for The Tigers this Saturday.
Left-Midfield: Kamil Grosicki – The Pole scored twice whilst on international duty, the opener against Armenia on the fifth and in Poland’s 4-2 win over Montenegro this past Sunday. These goals will give him a boost going into the game this Saturday.
Striker: Nouha Dicko – I expect Dicko to start in place of the injured Campbell. Dicko will be looking to score his first goal for the club when they meet Norwich tomorrow.
Key Man: Jarrod Bowen – The young winger has been brilliant so far this season, scoring seven goals in 11 games for The Tigers. His pace and work-ethic will be key for the East Riding of Yorkshire side.
Overall, I have predicted a total of two changes from The Tigers 6-1 win against Birmingham. Norwegian midfielder Markus Henriksen comes in for Spaniard Jon Toral, who I expect to be named as a substitute. Forward Nouha Dicko comes in to replace the injured Fraizer Campbell also.
This is my starting XI. Do you agree? If not what changes would you make? Let us know in the comments below!
