Chelsea vs FK Qarabag 19.45 kick off @Stamford Bridge
Chelsea host Azerbaijan’s representative FK Qarabag with English side expected to win the game comfortably. Whilst any Champions League game is not an easy game, FK Qarabag are one of the most accessible teams but they can still possess the threat of an embarrassment to Chelsea. Whilst Chelsea remain favourites in their group, Atletico Madrid and Roma are not far off their quality and any slip could allow them to knock Chelsea into the Europa League. FK Qarabag’s only player I recognise is Norwegian international Tarik Elyounoussi whom is always capable of pulling something out of the hat. Chelsea theoretically should still though win this game comfortably.
Final Result – 3-0 win to Chelsea
Roma vs Atletico Madrid 19.45 kick off @Stadio Olimpico
Roma start their campaign at home versus a team that by nature tend to do well in this competition under Diego Simeone. Roma can rely on Edin Dzeko to get them a goal most weeks but versus a solid defence that Atletico have it may be harder for that to come by. Atletico Madrid know that the pressure is on the Italians to win at home and can easily ironically play an Italian game of catenaccio with a lot of pace on the break led by their superstar Antoine Griezmann. Looking at both teams there is not a lot to distinguish them, apart from really Griezmann is that special player that would start at any team across the globe. It will be a very well contested game and for a neutral one of the games to watch tonight.
Final Result – 1-1 Draw
