It's considered a very versatile color for a reason! Swiss Coffee looks great with modern, transitional, traditional, cottage, farmhouse – you get the picture! It's not a cool, stark white – but rather a beige, warm white. I think so many design professionals love it so much because of it's warm undertones.
Swiss Coffee Paint by Benjamin Moore ranks on our list of favorite off-whites. Like we've mentioned, it isn't as bright as a true white, and it's warm undertones are incredibly popular right now, as seen on every Instagram filter ever.
Swiss Coffee is not a legit white paint colour, due in part to its undertones and LRV, both of which we'll get into below. Swiss Coffee is actually a considerably SOFT white paint colour.
What are the undertones in Swiss coffee? Swiss Coffee is a paint color with a little touch of yellow and ever-so-slightly green undertones.
Its Swiss Coffee is similarly named to Sherwin Williams' Alabaster. Swiss Coffee LRV stands at 84 and Alabaster is at 84, right ards are really similar – Swiss Coffee's is 84, just 2 point above (or closer to pure white than) Alabaster. Additionally, Swiss Coffee has a soft, creamy texture.
Swiss Coffee doesn't look straight out of the can yellow but it definitely has some yellow undertones. This undertone can come out more in rooms without natural light (think basement or a bathroom). If your room gets a good amount of natural light, you might not even notice Swiss Coffee's undertones.
Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore is much less yellow than many other whites on the market. However, like all off-whites, it does have some yellow undertones. It's those yellow undertones that make a white off-white, after all! But as a result, it can read as slightly yellow or gold in certain situations.
Swiss Coffee and White Dove are very similar colors with subtle differences. They are both members of Benjamin Moore's off-white collection. Swiss Coffee is creamier and slightly warmer with stronger yellow and grey undertones. White Dove is slightly brighter with a LRV of 85.38 compared to Swiss Coffee's LRV of 83.93.
Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee has slight gray, yellow, and green undertones. This makes it appear warm and inviting. However, it can also make it appear too yellow or slightly green in some lighting situations.

Swiss Coffee is beautiful, many people think it's a white paint color but it's actually a greige.
Behr Swiss Coffee is a creamy, soft warm white paint color that is quite versatile and has a neutral touch with no specific yellow, pink, blue, or green undertones. Yes, it's that perfect off-white to be used in the home.
Walls and Trim:
It may not be apparent by looking at these colors on your computer or phone screen, but BM Swiss Coffee is a warm white with black undertones and Valspar Swiss Coffee is a brighter, cleaner warm white.
Also does anyone know the difference between Behr's Swiss Coffee and Benjamin Moore"s? Delta E difference between the two is 1.6 which means "very small difference, only obvious to a trained eye". Looking at each color's H/V/C numbers you can tell that statement is very likely true.
The other option you have for a white paint color to go with Swiss Coffee is Chantilly Lace. Chantilly Lace is my go-to Benjamin Moore white paint color for trim. It is clean and bright, perfectly white and almost warm.

An overview of Swiss Coffee's flavor is its creamy white and subtle yellow color. Warm whites like this are a great choice if you are looking for one. Known for its clean flavor and less yellow than Swiss Coffee, Palais white by Behr is a popular choice.
Benjamin Moore's Swiss Coffee has a lot in common with Sherwin Williams' Alabaster. For one, the LRVs are really similar – Swiss Coffee's is 84, just 2 point above (or closer to pure white than) Alabaster. And Swiss Coffee also leans warm with a creamy, cozy feel.
They're different colors. Noticeable difference when you compare the two visually and from a data perspective.
Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee – a soft and creamy warm white (we used this throughout our basement renovation and you can see it paired beautifully with Agreeable Gray in these photos!)
Agreeable Gray is a gorgeous greige paint color by Sherwin Williams, and may just be their most popular color of all. It is a mix of gray and beige, and leans slightly more towards gray with a touch of yellow undertones.
Is Agreeable Gray still popular in 2022? The quick answer is YES! This color is an iconic Sherwin-Williams greige paint color, and is still one of the 50 most popular colors on the Sherwin-Williams website.
