Despite the slight modernization of the story line, 101 Dalmatians retains most of the original innocence of the story. Sure, it gets a bit sappy, but it's refreshing and more appropriate viewing for younger kids when the humor isn't tongue-in-cheek and jaded.
We think Cruella is ok for kids ages 9 and up who aren't too sensitive and who can appreciate dark humor. If that's your kid, you know they can handle this one. The PG-13 rating is actually pretty spot on, however, for most kids. One note: the movie is over 2 hours long with long stretches between the action.

Merely a week after "Cruella" was released in theaters and on Disney+, there was word that Disney had already greenlit a sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Craig Gillespie will be back for "Cruella 2" alongside writer Tony McNamara.
