The Manchester clubs are leading the way going into gameweek 6 following another heavy set of wins for Guardiola and Mourinho’s men. That of course meant a whole stack of points were taken by leading lights in Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku. However while these players are often a good bet for points they come at a price so we at All Out Football continue to give you our tips for the weekend in your quest for Fantasy Premier League glory.
Mark Docherty – Ciaran Clark – £4.5m
Mark reckons Ciaran Clark could be a shrewd piece of business with the Newcastle defender a very cheap £4.5 million in price. Clark looks to be favourite under Benitez and has already scored a goal this season and you wouldn’t want to rule out more meaning value for money makes this a seasonable transfer to make. The Magpies have won their last three games and travel to Brighton on Sunday where the Republic of Ireland International has a realistic opportunity of picking up a valuable 4 points from a clean sheet.
Rhys Paul – Gabriel Jesus – £10.5m
It’s looking like no one can stop City at the moment with goals flying in on a regular occurrence. Sergio Aguero got the headlines last weekend with Manchester City’s 6-0 triumph over Watford and for this reason Rhys thinks more attention may be placed on the Argentinian. Unfortunately for this weeks opponents Crystal Palace they also have to keep tabs on Gabriel Jesus who has the quality to find the net or pick out a teammate for a goal so the Brazilian is Rhys’s pick as he will find the space with a couple of Palace defenders looking to double up on Aguero.
Ryan Fisher – Jamaal Lascelles – £4.6m
31 points already for the Newcastle skipper means it should be a no brainer to have Lascelles in your team as a cheap option at the back. He’s already scored two vital goals in two separate matches and now looks to be a mainstay in the heart of the Newcastle defence. For similar reasons to Ciaran Clark, Lascelles good fortunes could be set to continue with a match away at Brighton an opportunity for Newcastle to keep a clean sheet and perhaps like they have done previously nick a set piece winner. You can’t go wrong for £4.6 million and over the course of the season you could yield a lot of points for what you pay.
Aaron Whitnall – Kevin De Bruyne – £10.0m
Following another masterclass, the Belgian midfielder looks set to almost guarantee a hefty set of points your way should you select him like 19.1% of users already have. He created 6 clear goal-scoring opportunities last weekend and with the Citizens on fire taking on a pointless Palace side it makes sense to add one of the most talented players in the league ahead of this game. The chances are if Guardiola’s side find the net, De Bruyne will have had something to do with it and Aaron full expects him to cause all kinds of havoc again this weekend.
Danny Ward – Mo Salah – £9.2m
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to not include Salah in your team at this point which is why over a third of users have the Egyptian in their ranks. The flying winger has three goals in five Premier League games and only four players in the entire game better his overall score at this stage. With the Reds likely to be in determined mood facing Leicester for the second time in the space of a matter of days following a 2-0 nil loss and Salah rested, it would not be a surprise to see the Reds new signing bag another.
