The game ended four to one. It was a Brentford win, unfortunately. Chelsea went with a 4-3-3 with Lukaku on the bench for the fourth straight Premier League game. In the second minute of the game, Christian Eriksen had a free kick opportunity but sailed it wide left. Chelsea FC had their first corner in the fifth minute of the game. In the sixth minute, Brentford had a great opportunity as Edouard Mendy made a bad pass, but in the end, Ivan Toney had a chip shot that wasn’t near the goal post. 2 minutes later, Toney had a great shot with Mendy making the save. Chelsea FC has been shaky so far with bad passes and the goalkeeper not making good decisions. Possession is Chelsea at 62 percent with Brentford at 38 percent in the first 20 minutes of the game. The first opportunity for Chelsea was in the 21st minute when Mason Mount tries to shoot in the far right corner but went wide right.  In the 31st minute, Reuben Loftus-Cheek had a great opportunity as he had the strength to beat out the defenders, but had the shot go right to the goalkeeper.  Mason Mount had a good opportunity from a through ball that N’golo Kante’ sent in the 32nd minute, but again went right to the goalkeeper. Hakim Ziyech had a nice curling shot to the far-left corner, but it was saved by David Raya.  Outside of those opportunities, it was a decent first half for the team even though they dominated possession.

GOAL! Antonio Rudiger in the 47th minute had a goal from a distance that the goalkeeper could do nothing about. It’s his third goal of the Premier League season. Brentford in the 50th minute scores a goal as Bryan Mbuemo passed it to Vitaly Janelt who then finished it off. Another goal from Brentford in the 54th minute as Mbuemo had a nice cross to Christine Erickson. A substitute has been made as Reece James comes in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Janelt scored his second goal of the game as he had a chipshot over Mendy to make it three goals to one. Romelu Lukaku and Mateo Kovacic came on in the 64th and 65th minutes. 85th minute, Yoane Wissa comes on and 90 seconds later, he scored making it four to one. Overall, Chelsea just did not have the same discipline and composure as Brentford did in their 4-1 win.

Chelsea play next in the Champions League round against Real Madrid.
