Two months of chasing, 2 rejected bids and a stubborn club? Do the reds still have hope?

After the end of last season, the German club RB Lepizig promised their fans that they wouldn’t sell any of their players after finishing 2nd in the Bundesliga. However, this didn’t stop Liverpool from trying to sign one of their best midfielders, Naby Keita.

Liverpool’s first bid was rejected immediately by the German club but Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the Guinean player didn’t stop here. Liverpool attempted to break RB Lepizig’s resolve with a €75M bid, but the German club rejected it insisting that the the 22-year-old isn’t for sale.

Earlier this week, Naby Keita launched a vicious tackle on his teammate, Diego Demme, injuring him badly. This made many people think that he did that to force a move to the Merseyside club, but why would he do that while he could’ve easily handed in a transfer request to Leipzig’s board?

Time is running out for Liverpool, they’ve signed only two players this window, Salah and Robertson, and they still have many positions they need to improve, there are only 5 weeks left for them to try to sign Naby Keita and Southampton’s defender Virgil Van Dijk.

Would you agree that this is the most boring saga of the window? Let us know in the comments below!
