Halfway through the 2017/18 season, Arsenal haven’t really taken the league by storm, in fact they haven’t been blowing any teams away in all honesty. With only 1 victory against the top 6 teams so far and suffering setbacks against Bournemouth, Stoke and Watford earlier on in the season, it hasn’t left them in the prettiest of positions up until now, currently sitting 6th in the premier league and also losing their best player to a rival club in Manchester United. However there seems to be a positive vibe at the club currently, due to the new signings of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Man United and also Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund. These signings have shown the Arsenal fans that Wenger is clearly willing to spend in order to sort out the team in order to become a fearful force for next season.
But how should they line up next season?
Simple. A 4-3-3 formation with Aubameyang on the left with Lacazette through the middle and also Mkhitaryan on the right. This will give the team clear width when attacking and also frightening pace which will be used to hit teams on the counter attack. Not only that it allows the team to have a 3 man midfield which will give Ozil a chance to roam free allowing him to create more and also giving Wilshere the chance to drive in the midfield providing they both remain at the club and sign a new contract, with Xhaka holding in front of the defence. The full backs will also gain cover from the wingers as well meaning there should be a bit more reassurance in the Arsenal defence.
Providing they can sign a defender and potentially a new holding midfielder, this will give Arsenal the required Arsenal in order to push for a title charge next season.
