Rumors have been spread today of Arsenal looking to sign Celtic French Striker, Odsonne Edouard. The 23-year-old has apparently had his price tag matched by Celtic between £22,000,000 to £25,000,000. Celtic this year haven't been the team they were the previous several seasons. They are sitting second behind arch-rivals, Rangers, in the Scottish League. They have lost to teams like Ross County, St Mirren and have been defeated in both Old Firm derbies featured this year. Steven Gerrard's Rangers side have done the unimaginable and have finally stood up to their biggest bullies in their entire club history.
So, with that in mind, Celtic will probably have to rebuild to get back to winning ways and it looks like Edouard has become one of the players to leave Celtic in order to start said rebuild. Arsenal, along with Roma,AC Milan and Leicester, are likely candidates for Edouard to join. His contract at Celtic runs out in 2022.
If Arsenal is Eduoard's choice, he will be reunited with former fellow Celtic player, Kieran Tierny, who joined the north London side in 2019 for a record breaking fee for a Scottish player.
Arsenal have also been linked today with Brighton & Hove Albion right back, Tariq Lamptey, as Paris-Saint Germain have been reported to sign Hector Bellerin in the summer.
