5 Players Who Are Going To Shine At The World Cup

5 Players Set To Shine At The World Cup

With the world cup just a matter of months away, the excitement amongst football fans is growing. The amount of talent that will be on show at the greatest football tournament on earth is astonishing. On this I post I will look at the 5 Players I think are set to light the tournament up.

Eden Hazard

The first player I’m going to focus on is Eden Hazard. Eden Hazard is a wonderfully gifted player with bags of talent, and technical ability. He is very well known for his close ball control and his brilliant awareness to get out of tight places. By the time the world cup arrives Hazard will be in the prime of his career at the age of 27. After making his international debut at just 17, he is without doubt one of Belgium’s go to men. With 82 caps under his belt already at the age of 26, his form for Belgium in recent months has been one of the main factors they went unbeaten in qualifying for the world cup. He has also been of the shining stars amongst the scary amount of talent Belgium has produced over the last few years. So is he ready to dazzle at the biggest international stage on earth?

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a superb start to the season with liverpool. His pace is electrifying, his finishing is just so clinical and his dribbling skills are up there with the best in the world. Salah is considered a cult hero in his homeland of Egypt. With 56 caps to his name and 32 goals for his country. Salah’s two goals against Congo secured Egypt’s qualification for the world cup for the first time since 1992. Salah will be without doubt’s Egpyt’s go to man if they want to achieve anything at the world cup. Salah and Egypt will be hoping he continues his excellent goal-scoring form for his country. Will Salah shine at the greatest show on earth?

Timo Werner

Timo Werner is a relative newcomer to the international scene, only making his international debut in March of 2017. Werner has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with Red Bull Leipzig, scoring 11 goals. Werner also was the youngest player in Bundesliga history to play 100 games aged just 20. Werner’s form for Germany has been nothing short of outstanding, scoring 7 goals in just 10 appearances. Werner’s has already played at an international tournament where he achieved this at the confederations cup. He ended up winning the golden boot. Will Werner be Germany’s shining light?

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is already considered a future balon d’or winner. Mbappe might only be 18, but the amount of things he has achieved is astonishing. He also already won the league, been named Ligue 1 young player of the year, been named in Ligue 1 team of the year and been in the champions league team of the season all in his debut season. He also also been compared to one of the games all time greats Thierry Henry. France will be hoping he continues his terrific form next summer.

Pablo Dybala

Pablo Dybala is a quick player known for his excellent dribbling skills, and keeping control of the ball in tight spaces. With Messi single handedly carrying Argentina over the last decade, Argentina are looking for a new icon to take over. Dybala has all the attributes to be a future balon d’or winner. Argentina and Dybala will be hoping he shines and emerge as a future successor to the great Messi.
