3 Teams to look out for in the Championship 19/20 season.

With Luton just coming up from league 1 they won't be expected to do much, but that is what people also said about them when they came up from league 2. Their 18/19 campaign was something special for Luton as a club because this was the first time Luton Town were in League 1 since 2007/08 when they finished bottom of the league gaining a total of 33 points. 2019/2020 will be an interesting season for all championship fans to see if Luton can actually survive because 2 seasons ago they were in league 2. Last season they finished on 90 goals and the player who got the most goals was James Collins scoring 25 goals. Being 28 and in his prime it will be good to see if he can prove himself in the Championship because looking at his stats last season he deserves it.

2. Wigan Athletic

With Wigan Athletic barely avoiding relegation in the 18/19 season it is easy to say that most people will be predicting Wigan to not really do anything special. If they can go into the next season continuing the form they were in they could easily get out of a relegation scrap and push for mid table. Wigan are rumoured to be in talks with Benfica in a joint partnership. This would be mental for the championship club. This will allow Benfica to be able to send some of their youngsters to get a bit of experience. Wigan's start to the season last August was brilliant, they got 3 points against Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke, lost in the last minute to Villa and got a point against a Forest team who were predicted by many people to finish in the play-off spots. If Wigan make some interesting signings they could push for something this year.

3. Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday did not achieve promotion like their rivals but since Steve Bruce came in there was some very big improvements winning 7 and Drawing 8 and this closed the gap on the play-offs. Unfortunately they finished 10 points away from the final play off spot but when Steve Bruce came in they were 16th and just been knocked out of the Fa Cup so the club wasn't in a good place. Steve Bruce came in and had a great impact and was unbeaten until he came across his old team and in fantastic form, Aston Villa. This game ended in a 3-1 defeat with Villa scoring 2 late goals. Their top goal scorer for the season was Steven Fletcher with 11 goals. But their most impactful player (if they stay after being linked to the Blades) will be Fernando Forestieri, being 29 he may be getting on a bit but is still a very good player and can create good things for Sheffield.
