Premier League 17/18 Table Prediction

Premier League 17/18 Table Prediction

Last update: 11 August 2017 Categories: Premier League.

The premier league season starts tonight with Arsenal coming up against once league winners Leicester. However before the match kicks off tonight, I am going to give you my table prediction for this upcoming season.

Huddersfield Town: Huddersfield  have a decent manager with David Wagner however their team is simply not up to premier league standards and although they have made quite a few signings this window none of them have much premier league experience and most of these signings are from the championship so they would be making a big jump along with the club. I want  Huddersfield to do well because we all love a good underdogs story but I feel like it will be straight back down for Hudds this year.

Watford: Marco Silva is a great manager in my opinion and they were a good outfit at times last season, but with growing speculation on the exit of Troy Deeney, a man who has been pushing Watford on for years, I feel they will struggle. Although the signing of Andre Gray will help them I don't feel like he's good enough to keep them up in the league. They will struggle to play from the middle due to their being two young inexperienced central midfielders and that will hurt them this year.

Swansea: Swansea really are relying on Gylfi Sigurdsson to keep them up. None of the signings that they have made so far have shown intent although I believe Tammy Abraham from Chelsea may do good but Swansea really need to get a suitable replacement for Sigurdsson in the event that he does get snapped up by a bigger club. I feel like they will drop but it will happen much later on in the season.

West Brom: Sorry to any West Brom supporters who may or may not be reading however West Brom are a team who have been flirting with the lower bottom half of the table for a number of years and there's a lot of teams that are getting bored of them to me I feel like they won't get relegated in the near distant future however I believe they will continue to edge past it again and again. A Tony Pulis side is always there to annoy the opposition.

Brighton: Brighton are a team that I want to do well and I don't think they'll have a bad season however a lack of experience and quality in their team will mean they don't finish as high as they potentially could. They are another example of a team that hasn't shown intent in the transfer window and that will affect them.

Bournemouth: Bournemouth made a good signing in Defoe however he will not get more than 1o goals this season. They will certainly be safe but they won't be around to trouble the top half teams.

Crystal Palace: Zaha and Benteke look like they're going to do good things this year and goals will not be a problem for them. If that's the case however they need to sort out their defence and once that happens they could really start pushing up the table into the top half.

Burnley: Burnley have made a good signing with Walters after the departure of Keane to Everton however they will still remain a solid outfit although with the loss of Andre Gray goals may be a problem for them however I do not see them struggling to stay in the league this season like we have seen with them before.

Stoke: Getting Kurt Zouma on a loan was a great piece of business from stoke and defensively they will be very good, they still have Shaqiri running things for them however it won't be as good as last season with the loss of Arnautovic to West Ham. It will be a typical mid table finish at Stoke getting their regular annoying wins but crumbling against the bigger teams.

Newcastle: Newcastle are a team that never should have gone down, they have a class manager and they came back up as predicted I feel like they will be the newly promoted team that usually gets mid table due to their team having premier league experience along with a decent set of players.

Leicester: Leicester have crowded their club with strikers and although they will inevitably sell a couple they will get goals in abundance. A Vardy and Iheanacho partnership could be great for Leicester and if Mahrez does leave they will need that partnership to work.

Southampton: Southampton will still be a decent outfit when Van Dijk leaves however they have to get out of this habit of selling their best players because they could really do well in the league by having these players around, they won't be good enough to finish In European spot however they will do well as usual.

West Ham: West Ham have had arguably the best window outside the top 6 this summer and it was needed after the exit of hotshot Dimitri Payet in the January window and getting Hernandez for so cheap and Arnautovic from Stoke will improve their attack by a lot and the club already have a decent defence if the rumours about Carvalho are true they will be a good outfit next season

Everton: Although they have sold their best player to Manchester United, Everton have also had a very good window improving their defence and midfield however if they want to push on they really need to get a good replacement for Lukaku and if they can do that they'll be looking at Europa or Champions league in a few years time.

Spurs: Everyone knows that Spurs at Wembley hasn't been great for them so who knows how a whole season there will treat them. They have sold their best right back to a team who could have been title rivals and it looks like they are about to sell Rose to them too they haven't bought anyone in and it's been a poor summer for Tottenham this year and I wouldn't be looking forward to next season if I was *god forbid* a spurs fan.

Arsenal: The signing of Lacazette was a long time coming however I don't feel like he will meet his expectations the French league is played in a completely different style to the premier league and it will take him time to adapt to the different leagues. He'll still bag double figures however he won't be the man that spearheads Arsenal to the champions league.

Manchester United: Good signing in Lukaku will get plenty of goals if he's given the right service they now have got a decent defence and they should really be getting a champions league spot anything below should see a Mourinho sacking in my opinion.

Chelsea: Will probably focus on the champions league but they won't do as bad as they did the year Leicester won the league when they were defending the title. Morata isn't worth the money they paid for him and if Costa leaves their goals will be coming from the midfield more than their attack.

Liverpool: Salah was a great signing and wasn't too expensive, they have a good attack however the only problem is that they are losing Coutinho however I believe that they have the quality in their team to overshadow that loss and they will be able to get a good replacement considering the fee will be quite high.

Manchester City: They have literally bought the league title this year they already had a quality attack and they have gone and bought a better keeper and replaced the decent full backs that left them with even better full backs although you could easily say they are overpriced however the league is in their hands and they really should be disappointed if they don't win the league .

That was my prediction on how the league will end up this season, let me know what you think of it and I'm looking forward to maybe writing more in the future.
