The All Out Football Accumulator – Our Bet & Tips For This Weekends Fixtures! (18+)

The football season is well and truly underway! After a blockbuster opening day in the Premier League, and as we approach the fourth fixture in the EFL, we thought what better way to get into the swing of things again than to throw money at teams to concede in the 90th minute and let down your acca? Joking aside, we at All Out Football have introduced a weekly write-up and will be placing an accumulator represented in an article to keep you guys up-to-date with our knowledge of the game, and will be offering tips to those who are a bit unsure of who to choose on those ever-so-difficult betting slips! This week, starting off, five of our writers have each chosen a team which they think will win and we will be placing an accumulator of all of the teams of choice from each writer, so say for example, if one writer puts £5 on their team, and the other four also do, the stake will be £25 on a five fold acca.

Fixture – Bolton Wanderers vs Derby County

Prediction – Derby County win (11/10 – Sky Bet)

David thinks an away win for Derby will be courtesy of manager Gary Rowett setting up his team really well away from home. We have seen in the past in particular at Birmingham, where The Rams boss has his side well drilled and made them extremely organised to get the job done. After a sluggish start from Bolton themselves, David also thinks Derby’s squad quality will be enough to pick up the three points at The Macron Arena. Derby themselves have had a mediocre start to the season, picking up 4 points from 9.

Dan Anjos –

Favourite Team – Sporting Lisbon

Fixture –  Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund

Prediction – Dortmund win (4/9 – Sky Bet)

Dan has chosen to look abroad for his prediction this week. Having studied some massive fixtures in both the Serie A and the BBVA, Dan picked out this particular fixture as an absolute banker. Wolfsburg really struggled last season, and only just avoided being relegated by defeating Braunschweig in their play-off. Despite surviving this, Wolfsburg haven’t recruited well at all and found themselves starting the season after a complete disaster of a pre-season, and Dan thinks this will carry on into this fixture.

Fixture – Aston Villa vs Norwich City

Prediction – Aston Villa win(7/5 – Sky Bet)

My personal prediction this weekend comes from Villa Park where I feel Aston Villa will finally get their much anticipated first win of the season. I’ve seen that many Villa fans are already starting to jump on Steve Bruce’s back which I find quite unbelievable in many ways. After a shocking defeat to Sunderland at Carrow Road last Sunday, Norwich find themselves well up against it, I think where Villa’s players will know the consequences if they yet again fail to win on home turf. For me the fans will play their role and be that 12th man and kick-start Villa’s season, and just look at those odds, you can’t say no to them!

Fixture – Southend United vs Plymouth Argyle

Prediction – Southend United win(19/20 – SkyBet)

This one may actually raise a few eyebrows, especially after Southend got demolished 5-0 at the hands of Rotherham last week. But Yeovil fan, Andy, thinks that Phil Brown will make sure that lessons are learnt as soon as possible, and that the Essex boys will hold firm and be resurgent against a Plymouth team who haven’t exactly set the world a-light themselves. Andy also thinks, that Plymouth’s mid-week fixture will take its toll on The Pilgrims, whereas Southend didn’t have to play a cup game mid-week, and have had more time off to regroup on the training ground.

Fixture – Southampton vs West Ham

Prediction – West Ham win(19/5 – SkyBet)

Perhaps not overly surprising for a Pompey fan predicting Southampton to get beat, but this is nothing more than a coincidence in this case. Mark makes the point that Southampton have been struggling to find the net, in both pre-season and in their opening game against Swansea at home last week, a game you would argue they should be winning. Despite this, Mark also reckons Van Dijk will be a massive loss in that back line, begging the question who is going to be of the quality to fill that big gap? West Ham’s attack will be just too good, with the likes of Hernandez and Arnautovic being added to the ranks over the summer, and he thinks one of them is going to get off the mark this weekend at St Mary’s.
